Top jobs for people on the move

To support business expansion and enhance its competitiveness in the logistics industry, DHL is looking to hire about 30 people. They will fill positions in sales, management accounting, telesales, operations and customer services.

"By strengthening our team, we will be better placed to deliver quality services for customers," says Donna Kong, senior director, human resources at DHL Express Hong Kong.

Newly recruited telesales executives will be responsible for selling the company's services, identifying sales opportunities and preparing reports for business analysis. Customer service representatives will be closely involved with local and overseas clients, handling inquiries, tracing shipments and dealing with the 24-hour hotline.

"To stand out, candidates should be sincere, passionate about the industry and responsible," Kong says.

"They should also be self-driven and excellent team players."

A development programme helps to groom supervisory staff and prepare them for managerial roles. There is also a special leadership programme run at regional level to give staff the skills needed to take on senior positions and to ensure a consistent approach to leadership within the company.

"Our performance management system offers a clear understanding of the achievements and potential of employees for future career development," Kong says.
