AICPA & CIMA’s flagship leadership programme returns to Singapore

The third edition of the CGMA Leadership Academy, an intensive four-day leadership programme, will be held in Singapore from 9 to 12 October 2023. The event will be hosted by AICPA® & CIMA®, together as the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, under the theme ‘Finance Forward: Igniting Value Creation & Leadership’.

This is the second year that the CGMA Leadership Academy will be hosted in Singapore. It will feature four tracks of curated content from industry leaders and experts: digital transformation, sustainability and ESG, leading finance teams, and communication for influence and impact.

The programme is aimed at Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA®) designation holders. It is designed to equip a new generation of finance leaders with the capabilities, mindsets, skills and network they need to become catalysts of change within their organisations, the finance profession and the broader business community.

Venkkat Ramanan, FCMA, CGMA, Regional Vice President of Asia Pacific, at AICPA & CIMA, together as the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, said:

‘We are living through an exciting period where the business world is undergoing rapid transformation. Working practices, business models and customer expectations have all radically evolved in recent years, while at the same time cutting-edge digital technologies are opening new possibilities for adding value to organisations. Business and finance leaders will need to adapt themselves to this new age and make sure their skills do not become obsolete.

‘At AICPA & CIMA, we believe that leadership development should start early in an individual’s career to truly maximise their potential. Dedicated leadership programmes such as the CGMA Leadership Academy enable young business and finance professionals to acquire new technical knowledge while learning the practical skills needed to implement meaningful change, both within their teams and in their organisations’.
