My first managerial role is a bit of a let-down. Should I stick it out?

I was promoted to a management role six months ago in a large multinational. Unfortunately, things have not turned out as I hoped.I find myself with less responsibility than anticipated and, due to recent restructuring, my time is taken up increasingly with meetings I really don’t see the point of.I am tempted to look elsewhere, but as it is my first management position, I worry that such a short stint might look bad on my CV. Is it OK to embellish my CV just a little bit?

I am hoping to find a new job soon and have been updating my CV. Apart from my current role, as a marketing manager for a retail group, my jobs have not been very impressive. I am wondering if it is OK to embellish some of my previous positions, such as vaguely calling myself a junior manager in one of them. What do you suggest? ...

Do you think it is possible to apply for both positions or would that show I lack the ambition to take the more senior job? ...

I suspect the fact I don’t speak Chinese might be impeding me.Do you think there are any openings in advertising here for people in my position? If not, can you recommend any other related field I might fit into? ...
